ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PRACTICE focuses on the ethical responsibilities and safety practices required of professional technologists. In this course, students will learn about the role of technologists and the importance of ethics in their profession, including values such as integrity and accountability. This course also covers occupational safety and health (OSH) legislation, including the Occupational Safety and Health Management System. Topics include incident prevention, hazard identification, risk assessment and control (HIRARC), fire safety, workplace environments, and ergonomics.
